The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is sassa status to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The support issue developed for intervention activities a high influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service status sassa point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to allow the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
